| Page | Who searches for it | What it should contain | Mistake to avoid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home | Name searches, "window cleaning near me" | Who you are, which towns you serve, residential and commercial split, phone, a short quote form and proof you are insured | A slider or gallery with no readable text, so search engines see nothing |
| Residential window cleaning | Homeowners asking about inside and out, once a year or recurring | What is included: exterior, interior, screens, tracks, sills; how scheduling works; who comes; what you do if it rains | Calling every job "full service" without saying what that means |
| Commercial and storefront | Shop owners, property managers, office managers | Frequency options, after-hours work, certificate of insurance on request, invoicing by month, how you handle multiple locations | Sending commercial buyers to the residential quote form |
| Post-construction and move-in cleaning | Builders, remodelers and realtors | Stickers and paint removal, glass protection, turnaround time, how you coordinate with the site contact | Skipping the page because it is a small share of jobs; it is a high-intent search |
| Screens, tracks and hard water stains | Homeowners with a specific problem | What you can and cannot remove, when a replacement is better, honest limits on etched glass | Promising results on damage that cleaning cannot fix |
| Gutter cleaning and pressure washing | People bundling jobs | Which services you do, how you price add-ons, how combos save a trip | Listing services you do not perform |
| Solar panel and high-reach work | Owners of arrays, multistory buildings | Equipment, safety practice, insurance, any training or certifications you actually hold | Claiming rope or lift work you have not done |
| Cost and pricing guide | Anyone searching "how much does window cleaning cost" | What affects the price (panes, floors, access, condition, frequency), how you quote, how to get an estimate without a visit | Hiding every number; vague honesty still beats nothing |
| Service area pages | Searches that name a town or neighborhood | Real local details: neighborhoods you work in, housing types, routes you run, a recent job with permission | Cloning one page with the town name swapped |
Why this layout
A window cleaning customer is usually searching for a combination: a service, a place and sometimes a problem. "Storefront window cleaning in town" and "how to get hard water stains off windows" are not the same person. One page cannot be the best answer to both, and a search engine will pick the page that is closest to the wording. Splitting by service lets each page speak directly to one buyer.
The same logic applies to how you present the work. Residential buyers want to know about the visit: what time, whether someone must be home, what happens to screens. Commercial buyers want to know about reliability: schedule, insurance, billing and who to call. Property managers want to deal with one vendor across several buildings. Each deserves wording that suits them, written in the words they use rather than in trade shorthand.
Seasonality matters for the plan. Interest picks up in spring and again before the holidays, and it spikes after pollen season, storms and construction projects. Cost and problem pages should be in place before those periods, not rushed during them, since new pages take time to be noticed. Recurring customers are the reason to track the business: a customer who signs up for quarterly cleaning is worth much more than a single visit, and the site should make a recurring plan easy to ask about.
Finally, be honest in how you describe the work. Some windows are damaged and no cleaning will fix them; some jobs need a lift or rope access that you may not offer. A site that says so clearly gets calls from better-fitting customers and fewer disputes.
It helps to decide up front what a good month looks like. A route business has two kinds of wins: one-off jobs that pay once, and recurring customers or commercial accounts that pay all year. Tag quote requests by type when they arrive, ask on the phone how the caller found you, and note which pages and listings produce the recurring work. After a quarter you will know whether the next page should be a storefront page, a cost guide or a town page, and you will stop guessing.
Technical problems
Speed
Camera-original images of sparkling windows turn a mobile page into a slow wait. Resize, compress and lazy-load them, and add plain descriptions of what the photo shows.
Visibility
Prices, service lists and service areas set into banner graphics cannot be read by search engines. Put the same information in real text.
Conversion
Name, phone, address and a short description are enough to start. A long form on a phone turns a ready customer into an abandoned tab.
Conversion
Most window cleaning searches happen on a phone. The number should be a link that dials, visible without scrolling, and tracked so you know which calls came from search.
Local
Local SEO suffers when old business names, retired phone numbers and listings that show an address you hide cause suspensions and wrong rankings. Service-area businesses should hide the home address, not show a pin on it.
Structure
A footer with 60 town names in a block is not a service area page. Fewer, real pages with local detail work better.
Technical
LocalBusiness markup, service descriptions and review data (only where it follows the rules) help search engines understand who you are. Never mark up reviews you cannot show.
How the work is sequenced
Walk through the site on a phone, check speed, test the form and the phone link, review every listing and directory for the same name, phone and service area.
Set up call tracking and form tracking so you can see which pages and listings bring quote requests. Without it, later results are guesswork.
Residential, commercial, post-construction and the problem pages that apply to your market, with real text and your own photos.
These are the pages that turn browsers into customers, and the ones most sites lack.
One at a time for the towns that matter, each with something that is truthfully different about working there.
A review request after each job, replies to the ones that mention a problem, and a monthly look at calls, quotes and booked work.
What it costs
Window cleaner questions
Our RankGuarantee™ pages are $495 a month, and Organic Growth plans are $1,495, $2,495 and $3,495 a month depending on page volume and whether a managed website is included. No setup fee, no contract. Compare it with the lifetime value of a recurring customer, not a single job.
Yes. The buyers are different, so are their questions, and a combined page serves neither. Commercial buyers also expect a way to ask about insurance, scheduling and billing.
Showing a clear range or the factors that set the price helps, because many people search for cost first. You do not need a rate card for every job. Explain what drives the quote and how to get one quickly.
Yes. Set up your profile as a service-area business, hide the home address and list the towns you actually cover. Do not list a mailbox or a friend's address, which can lead to suspension.
Yes, if they are your own, resized for speed, and labeled with what was cleaned and where. Get a customer's permission if a home is identifiable, and avoid showing house numbers or interior details.
If you really offer them, yes. Customers often search for bundled work, and add-on pages bring in searches that a window-only site misses. Do not list services you do not perform.
Search engine optimization takes patience. Fixes to the listing and tracking can matter within weeks. New pages usually take months to settle, and busy metro areas take longer. We cannot promise positions or a number of calls, but we report what changed each month.
Not always. If your current site loads fast, shows real text and lets us add pages, we can work on it. If it is a slider on a builder with no way to edit, a rebuild may be the faster route, which is what our Gold and Platinum plans include.
